Have these handy and the call takes minutes
- Where the mold, stain, smell or water is, and roughly how big
- When you first noticed it and whether it is getting worse
- Whether anything leaked, flooded or backed up recently
- Whether anyone in the house has asthma or allergies
- Your address or nearest cross streets
If water is actively coming in, stop it first if you can: close the fixture valve or the main, and keep people away from any water near outlets.
If the water came from a drain, toilet or sewer, keep everyone out of the area until it is cleaned.
