FAQ
Cost and timing
4 questions callers ask about cost and timing.
It depends on the area affected, access and how much material comes out. Our mold removal cost guide gives ranges for small, medium and whole-room jobs.
Call and describe what you are seeing. We will tell you on the phone what a visit involves before anyone comes out.
A small bathroom or closet job is often done in a day. A basement or attic usually takes several days, most of it drying time.
It depends on the schedule that day, and active water gets priority. The phone line is answered 24/7, so the first step happens on that call.
FAQ
The work itself
4 questions callers ask about the work itself.
Usually not. The work area is sealed off with containment and negative air, so the rest of the house stays in use.
Plastic walls, a zipper door and an air scrubber that keeps the sealed area under negative pressure, so disturbed spores stay inside it.
We find and name the moisture source every time, and handle drying, fans, sump pumps and similar fixes ourselves. Roof and plumbing repairs are coordinated with the right trade.
Not if the moisture source is fixed. Mold returns when the material gets wet again, which is why the cause matters as much as the cleanup.
FAQ
Testing and records
4 questions callers ask about testing and records.
Not always. Visible growth with an obvious water source can go straight to removal. Testing helps when there is a smell but nothing visible, or when a buyer, landlord or doctor needs numbers.
Photos before, during and after, moisture readings, the scope of what was removed and, when it was part of the job, the clearance test report.
By dry moisture readings and, where it is needed, clearance testing after the containment comes down.
They answer different questions. Air samples show what is in the air of a room; surface samples identify growth on a specific spot. See reading a mold test report.
FAQ
Rentals, buyers and insurance
4 questions callers ask about rentals, buyers and insurance.
Yes. We talk with both, and confirm the owner's approval before any work starts.
It depends on the policy and on what caused the water. Sudden leaks are more often covered than long, slow ones. Our claim documentation gives your adjuster the record they ask for.
Yes. A real estate mold inspection fits inside the inspection period and comes with photos and readings.
Yes, including jobs that cross units or involve an HOA. See condo and HOA mold remediation.
